True Business Owners are not Children

None of this is new. The title above shouldn't surprise you.
And as we put away childish things we take on new paradigms, new responsibilities. To run a business, to run your own ship, you need to manage fear and insecurity. Children live through emotions
, they accept them and let them run their course. Adult business owners can accept emotions, but they have to cut them off before they become dangerous. I like the post here from Michael McKinney because it goes some way towards clarifying the position we are all trying to get to.
And while, to an extent at least, I don't agree with all that love and compassion stuff. The part where we don't take things personally makes perfect sense.
Today, as we approach a new business week, think about the ideas in the article.
Is there any ‘child’ left in you? And is it a good thing? Part of me thinks it is.
